Obituary for Carol S LaRose

Springfield - Carol S. (Toulson) LaRose, 79, passed away suddenly on November 27, 2017. Born April 28, 1938 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Fredrick and Dorothy Toulson. She has lived in Springfield for 14 years and previously resided in Monson and Ludlow. Carol retired from Monson Developmental Center after working for many years in direct care. She was a member of the Springfield American Legion Post 277 and loved to play bingo. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph John Robert LaRose in 2000, a sister Cindy and a brother Bobby. She is survived by nine children, Lee O'Connor (Kevin) of Belchertown, Donna Brown (Ed) of Palmer, Carl Rohan of Springfield, Beth LaRose of Palmer, Joseph LaRose (Liza) of Granby, John LaRose (Michelle) of Palmer, David LaRose of Belchertown, Doreen LaRose- Thomas (Ken) of Belchertown and Robert LaRose (Donna) of Palmer. She also leaves 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a sister Marion Dean (Don) of WV. Calling hours will be Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Donations may be made in her memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
