Obituary for Roger L. Archambault

Belchertown, Roger L. Archambault, 93 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30. Born in Holyoke on January 5, 1925, he was the son of Ovide and Lydia (Lamontigne) Archambault. He was a proud Marine, having served his country in the Pacific Theater, including Okinawa, during WWII. Roger owned a chicken farm and was a longtime supplier of eggs throughout the surrounding areas. A devout Catholic, Roger was a communicant and active member of St Francis Church. In 2014, Roger was predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Yvette (Chapdelaine). He is survived by his beloved sister Una Dobek of Agawam, brother in law Roger Chapdelaine and his wife Jacqueline of East Longmeadow, his sister in law Therese Bonaquisti and her husband Anthony of West Springfield and many neices and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 6, from 9:30 to 10:30 at Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 in St Francis of Assisi Church. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Cemetery. The family wishes to express gratitude to his devoted caregivers, especially Evangeline, for the kind and loving care shown to Roger and Yvette.
