Obituary for Rose Y Methot

Belchertown - Rose Y. Letourneau Methot, 89, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017 with her family by her side. Born February 20, 1928 in Sanford, ME, she was the daughter of the late George Guillemette and Emma (Laitres) Guillemette. Rose has lived in Belchertown for the past 7 years, previously a longtime resident of Springfield. She worked at Wrights in Warren for many years before working and retiring from Raytheon. After retirement, Rose worked in the kitchen at St. Patrick's School. As a communicant of St. Francis Church, Rose was very active and involved in the church community. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Leo Methot and will be deeply missed by her children, Daniel Letourneau and wife Therese of North Berwick, ME, Conrad Letourneau and wife Marianne of Ware, Linda Smith and husband Garland of Springfield, and Brenda Gaudreau and husband Peter of Ware. She also leaves her sister, Beatrice St. Laurant of South Berwick, ME, and brother, Ben Guillemette of Sanford, ME, along with grandchildren, Christine, Joseph, Paul, Chad, Eric, Erin, Jeffrey, and great grandchildren, Maikayla, Abigail, Jack, Aaron. Rose was also predeceased by her 12 siblings. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Nov. 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church with burial to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Ware. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Church, P.O. Box 612, Belchertown MA 01007, or a charity of one's choice.
