South Hadley, Jacqueline E. (Bineau) Herd, 87, died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, September 28 at Wingate at South Hadley. She was born in Holyoke and was the daughter of Edward and Mary Louise (Gingras) Bineau. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Edward Herd in 1996. Jacqueline was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Parish and was a member of the choir. She was employed for many years at National Blank Book and Avery Dennison. Jacqueline enjoyed singing, traveling, most especially her trips to Hawaii, cooking and the cherished time spent with her family. She will be forever missed by her seven children, Gerard and his wife Kathleen of Indian Town, FL, Thomas of Palmer, Cynthia Herd and her husband Albert Paixao of S. Hadley, Ret. Command Master Chief Linda Dennehy of S. Yarmouth, Katherine Ouellette and her husband Lawrence of Weymouth, Carol Williams of Chicopee and Jeffrey Herd and his wife Daneen of Chicopee along with 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Downey of Holyoke and many nieces and nephews and close friends. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her son in law, Richard Dennehy and siblings, Edward Bineau, Doris Downey and Jeannette Allie and her dear friend, Juliette Lafleur. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose de Lima Parish, please meet directly at the church.
