Obituary

South Hadley-Ronald K. LaBrecque, Sr., 79, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2017. Born in Lincoln NH, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Violet (Greenwood) LaBrecque. Ronald proudly served his country in the US Army during Korea. He has lived in South Hadley for over 40 years and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Ron worked as a plant manager for the former Gram Manufacturing which was then Johnson & Johnson, most recently known as Little Rapids. He was a member of the Elks and was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying fishing, hunting, boating, snowmobiling and had an extensive gun collection. Time with his family and grandchildren was cherished by Ron dearly, most especially time at Kamp Kwitcherbitchin' on Paul stream, VT, and their place in Warwick on the pond. He will be greatly missed by his wife if 50 years, Mary (Egan) as well as his children, Ronald Jr. and his fiancée Stacy Warnock of Chicopee, Donald of S.Hadley and Sara Mitchell and her husband Wayne of S.Hadley. He also leaves his grandchildren, Nathan, Lily, Lola, Wayne, a brother Gary and his wife Judy of Gilman, VT, many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. His family dog, Squeeks along with family four legged companions, Wally, Nana, Emmy, Izzy, and Zoey also enjoyed Ron's company. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 13th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S.Hadley Funeral Home.
