Obituary of James L Bellerose

Granby-James L. Bellerose, 81, passed away March 26, 2024, at home with the love of his family surrounding him. Born in Holyoke, MA on March 25, 1943, he was the son of Lester and Eva (Gardner) Bellerose. James was a lifelong resident of Granby and was a member of the former Living Gate Church in Granby for many years. In his youth he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked for over 20 years as a Forest Fire Fighter for Chicopee State Parks. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (Jakubrik) Bellerose in 2019. He will be deeply missed by his son, Edward and his wife Lori and their two children, Victoria Azevedo and her husband Joao and Nora Bellerose; as well as a great grandson, Lucca Azevedo all of Granby. He is also survived by a sister, Patricia Jarrell and his beloved dog, Muffin. Service will be private. For those wishing, donations may be made to Dakin Animal Shelter.
