Obituary of Raymond F. Farmer, Jr.

Ware-Raymond F. Farmer, 70, passed away April 28, 2024 at his home with the love of his family surrounding him. Born in Springfield on September 23, 1953, he was son of Raymond F. and Mary (Cook) Farmer Burke. Ray lived in Holyoke before moving to Ware over 40 years ago. He drove for Belchertown State School, Monson Developmental Center and Templeton State School. He then went on to drive for Vanpool in Wilbraham. Ray loved everything to do with cars, rebuilding them, riding in them and car shows. He also enjoyed watching boxing, walks, and of course, his dogs. Ray's memory will forever remain with his wife, Doris (Ejsmont) along with their children, Brian Farmer and Kristen of Ware, John Farmer of Ware, Elaine Riopel of Three Rivers as well as his grandchildren, Angelina, Alexander, Leonardo, Zachariah, Demetrius, Isabella and Damion as well as several nieces and nephews. Ray's siblings, Marlene, Mike, James, and his twin brother, Mark also survive him. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Lincoln Raymond "Pete" and sister, Judy. Visitation will be held Friday, May 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home with a funeral mass Saturday, May 11th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Ware with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Please meet directly at the church. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to either American Diabetes Assocation or Second Chance Animal Services.
