Obituary of Gary Walter Avery Jr.

Belchertown- Gary Walter Avery Jr., 45, passed away May 1, 2024 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 23, 1978 in Ware, the son of Gary Avery Sr. and Mary Ann (Guillette) Zawalski. Gary graduated from Pathfinder in 1997 and later worked for Ondrick's Construction and Curb to Curb Lawncare. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time in his garage working on his trucks and motorcycles.

Gary was preceded in death by his sons, Trent Avery in 2005 and Adam Avery in 2020. He was also preceded in death by his father, Gary Avery Sr. in 2019, and his Memere, Lorraine Guillette in 2017. He will be dearly missed by his mother Mary Ann Zawalski; his 4 sisters, Melissa Avery, Jennifer Avery, Tina Zawalski, and Ann Stevens; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9th from 4-7pm at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
